Beaded Blue Nails - MUA & OPI.

Hi pretty people!

I was in Superdrug the other day with my boyfriend when I stumbled across the nail section at the MUA stand and these little pots of beads really caught my eye. I've never actually tried the Ciate Caviar sets but i'd say that these MUA ones are very similar but a shed load cheaper at just £3!

(sorry they aren't the neatest!)

OPI - DS MAGIC

I asked my boyfriend to pick one out as there were lots of coloured beads to choose from and he chose this one, as manly colours as possible of course! Overall I think these little things are really niffty, bit messy but fun! You just paint your nail with whatever colour you choose and then pour the bead over and push them down and you are done. Like I said it is messy and it's best to do it over a piece of paper but it's great for for a special occasion if you want something a bit different than glitter. For £3 I am deff gonna go back and get some other colours.

Blogging Buddies - December

Hi there pretty people!

Here is a quick post of some of my favourite blogs right now, there are many others but I thought i'd just include a few and then i'll probably try do one of these every month! I love going through and finding blogs I love to read and their favourite blogs (not saying that i'm your favourite blog to read!) but I hope you like either way.

001. Spider Leg Lashes - this blog is run by a lovely girl called Maya. She honestly seems like such a sweet girl. She covers a bit of everything on her blog and writes in a really nice/friendly way (if that's even a thing?) also finds some gem products at affordable prices!
Favourite posts - OOTD/E & Review

002. Five One Couture - this blog is run by Gee. Okay get ready for full on stalker weirdness but she is RIDICULOUSLY stunning (not that the other girls blogs that i've mentioned aren't, cos they are all very pretty!) but her style and her hair are amazing! I could look through her blog all day.
Favourite posts - Christmas Party & Foot Tattoo's

003. hayleycakes - this blog is run by Hayley. I actually found her blog through Gee and I'm glad I did! Her blog is full of pretty pictures she's taken, make up she's created and brilliant reviews. She also has a cute little bubby! Again a blog I could read all day.
Favourite posts - Photo Diary &  Happy Halloween

004. Jenner Blake - this blog is run by Jenner. I have finally managed to convince my very good friend Jenner to get into blogging, she's only just started and is still getting use to everything but you can see her first post here. I know she's gonna post some great beauty/fashion related posts and if that's your kinda thing (which let's face it, it TOTALLY is) then I think you should go follow her :)

I think it would be a great if all you guys did this as well so I can see who you love to read and so some smaller blogs that are really great get some recognition as well, so I tag you all! Please leave a comment if you did this Blogger Buddies post :)

I knew you were trouble.

Hi there pretty people!

So today I went for lunch with my lovely friend Rosie and here's what I wore...

Top/Dress - Primark, Skirt - River Island, Belt - Next, Scarf - H&M (i think), Bag - Vintage, Coat - Wallis.

Sorry for the crap quality & small blurry mirror pictures but it's the only place I have to take picture atm, but come christmas (WHICH IS ONLY A WEEK AWAY OMG!) I'll have my brand new lovely camera so i'll at least have better quality pictures, unfortunately my chubbiness will still be making an apperance unless I get my but in gear and eat right and exercise. Nahhhhh that's not gonna happen! Oh well, hope you enjoyed either way.

Rosie had an earl grey tea & soup. I had a REALLY yummy hot chocolate & a gherkin, pastrami and emmental toasted sandwich.

I'm going to try and do an all round post like this at least once a week, including my outfit and what I got up to. Oh also, i'm not the biggest Taylor Swift fan and i'm not sure if it's the complete over playing by all the radio stations but golly gosh I love this song and the new video. Go Taylor!

RAVE - Elizabeth Arden Advance Eye Fix Primer

Hi there pretty people!

So let's get down to it, I'll admit it.....I have super oily eyelids *shudders* that sounds so nasty doesn't it?! That just doesn't sound nice at all, but the truth is I do! Not only does it just sound horrible it also ruins my life a little when it comes to applying anything to my eyes that I want to actually stay there for longer than 20 minutes. So of course I've tried primers, I've tried cream eyeshadow bases of all brands to try make it stick, i've tried eyeshadow primers from cheap to expensive including most people's beloved Urban Decay Primer Potion and i'm telling you N O T H I N G make's my eye products stick like this Elizabeth Arden primer does. I didn't even know about this little bad boy until one random trip to Boots, once again I was shopping with my mum and we'd gone to the Clinque counter in boots to ask if they had anything to stop my stupidly oily lids from ruining my life and the lady on the counter told me that she too suffered with oily eyelids! She took me over to the unguarded Elizabeth Arden counter (totally off point but I hate that makeup counters are either over run with annoying woman (i know they aren't all annoying) or completely left alone!?) and told me that this was her holy grail product and that it works wonders. I jumped for joy and headed straight for the till.

So I know what you're thinking, £20 for 7.5ml of product when you could pay £14.50 for 11ml of product at Urban Decay?! Honestly I couldn't be happier with this product. My make up doesn't crease, slide off, gives me such brilliant colour pay off and of course the longevity is amazing so to me there is no competition. I use next to nothing of this product for both eyes and my brows so I know it's gonna last forever as well! I really don't have a bad thing to say about this product. So if you have oily eyelids too I hope you give this a go and let me know how you get on! It could be a cheeky last minute christmas present?!

!This has to be my favourite product of 2012!

Wonderful Weekend - 001

Hi there pretty people!

So I thought i'd start a new series of posts to sum up my weekend. I will try and do this every weekend and it'll get better once santa has been and gone, as i'm getting a camera for christmas! Think weekend vlogging but with pictures. Talking of volgging and youtube and things, i'm thinking of giving it a go once i've got my camera. If you have your own youtube channel leave it in a comment below so I can get some ideas on videos and I just like being nosey and love watching youtube videos!

Friday Evening.

I got dressed up and went out for a double date night with my boyfriend, my friend and her boyfriend.

I was sporting a really pretty sparkly smokey eye, which of course clever me, you can't see! Also like most people, i'm really enjoying wearing dark lipstick atm! I don't tend to take many pictures of myself but here was my moment of being vain and I took 4! (wild right?!)

We had dinner at Artorios which is a Mediterranean taverna. I had lamb souvlaki which was yummy!

We went to the cinema afterwards and watched Seven Psychopaths. Which was brillaint! If you loved In Bruges (which are the same people that made this movie) then you'll love it, equally if you're a fan of dark comedy, Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell or Christopher Walken then you'll love it. I will be buying it as soon as it's on DVD.

Saturday & Sunday.

These were mega lazy days. We did do some christmas shopping saturday afternoon for my boyfriends mum and sister (mostly make up related so I was in my element!) and made epic yummy mexican food which I stupidly didn't take a picture of but mostly it was lying in bed and watching movie as usual!

My beautiful puppy, Poppy, joined us and had a snooze on my cuddly toy dog. How cute!

Sunday evening was spent in bed alone reading this bad boy. Trying to cram as much information in my brain as possible. If you have any book/youtube/website recommendations for special effects makeup do let me know!

Poppy wasn't overly impressed that it was that time of year again that we can start dressing her in stupid jumpers but she loves all the attention really and she does look super cute!

So that was my weekend! What was your weekend like?! I hope you all had lovely weekends and aren't having too much of a horrible Monday. Like I said leave youtube channels and special effect recommendations in the comments below please or any other lovely things you have to say!

Origins Super Spot Remover - Review

Hi pretty people!

So rather excitingly they've opened up a new MASSIVE Waistrose and John Lewis not too far from my house. Me and my mum decided to take a trip there and it was all so pretty and big and lovely! Wondering through the candle section (another obsession of mine) I found the beautyish section, much too my disappointment there was no make up counters but my beady little eye spotted the Origins counter at the end. I went over to ask the sales assistant, who was lovely by the way, about a thick face mask and she suggested I try Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask and to my excitement there was of course a christmas deal on face masks! I seem to have some sort of uncontrollable obsession with face masks atm! But my mums put that away for christmas so keep your eyes peeled for more natter about that!

Anyways back to the point of my post! I have been wanting to try Origin's Super Spot Remover for ages now. Reading and hearing so many good things about it I knew I just had to try it. And what better time, my face has decided to blow up like spotsville in the last week and it's horrid!

BEWARE AT WHAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO SEE!

Me with no make up (other than eyebrows)

Treatment on, doing it's thang.

The next day (already looks a lot less red and angry!)

The little wonder bottle of goodness!

£13

http://www.origins.co.uk/product/6342/18374/Skincare/Concern/Blemish-Oil-Control/Super-Spot-Remover/Blemish-treatment-gel/index.tmpl

The pictures speak for themselves, but I really do think it reduces the size and redness of those horrible spots within a day and normally by about 2 days they're gone! It's a gel treatment that you just pat on to any blemishes with a clean finger and leave it to do what it's got to do! I will say this though, it does sting but nothing enough to stop me from using it and in fact I kind of like the fact it stings because it makes me feel like it's really working. I know £13 seems like a lot for such a little bottle but honestly it works so well and I will be repurchasing it as soon as I run out!

(Once again, sorry for my ugly face!)

This has sparked a love between me and Origins. So tell me, what are you favourite products by them?!

Haul 001.

Hi there pretty people!

Here are a few things i've picked up recently. I am going to stay away from shopping for myself now as  it's nearly christmas, or so I'll tell myself.

Goodies!

Sleek Palettes.
Sleek currently is on 3 for 2 in Superdrug!

I love the packaging, so....sleek ;)

Ultra Matte Bright Palette - £7.99
I wanted some bright colours for my kit and this was perfect, small enough to carry about but packed full of bright, pigmented colours!

Au Naturel Palette - £7.99
What more would you want from a nude palette? This will cover so many looks in a small, convenient palette. Keeps me happy!

Oh So Special Palette - £7.99
I love this palette, so pretty! Lot's of pretty shades in there and would make a great bridal palette too.

 Blush by 3 in Pumpkin - £9.99
These might look scary but applied with a light hand they are beautiful! They are ridiculously good value for money, I will be going back and purchasing all the other colours!

A few make up bits from boots while I was christmas shopping.

Collection 2000 Glitter Liners in Hustle and  - £2.99
I LOVE these liners. They do exactly what you need them to do, come in a variety of colours, are so pretty and have such a little price tag.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - £7.99
I haven't tried this properly yet but i'm dead excited to! I have heard so many good things about this and with my current dry skin condition i'm hoping this will work some wonders for me.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eyeliner in Nude and Silver- £3.99
I am SO impressed with these! I haven't had a chance to use them too much yet but they are so soft and creamy, just like butter screams to mind. I would say these are very comparable to the Urban Decay eyeliners with a lot smaller price tag!

Rimmel Lastin Finish Blush in Pink Rose - £3.99
This is so pretty, almost more of a highlighter than a blush. I've only just tried it out on the back of my hand but the texture was smooth and the colour was a pinky gold. Can't wait to give this one a go!

Lee Stafford -For hair that never grows past a certain length treatment - £7.99
I've not really heard too much about this but I am desperate for my hair to grow so I thought I'd give this a go. Anyone had any really great results from it?

I either really love everything i've tried so far or i'm really excited to try it out! I'm so impressed with high street/drug store products atm and can't wait to spend some more money on it all next year! If there is anything you'd like an in depth review on then please feel free to leave me a comment and i'll see what I can do :)

What are you favourite high street/drug store buys atm?!

Korres Lip Butter (Rose) Review

Hi there pretty people!

So because of the cold horrible weather we've been having in jolly old England recently my skin has been suffering! I'm so dry, I feel like a wrinkled up old piece of fruit! (yummy right?!) And one thing that's been suffering bad, are more poor little wonky uneven lips. I needed some sort of super soft, moisturising solution and I'd been wanting to try Korres Lip Butter's for a while as i've always heard lot's of good things about them so I thought it was about time I gave them ago. The other week while I was shopping in Waitrose with my mum I spied the massive Korres section, this was my moment! I had a little look through the products and found the lip butter's which I'd forgotten came in rose flavour, well this completely sealed the deal for me (while reading my blog over time you will come to realise that it is my true granny obsession and I am in love with anything rose scented!)

My initial thoughts were, I love the packaging of Korres products, they are clean, colourful and informative. I love the fact they try to be as natural and use as little crap in the products as possible, for example this product is dermatologically tested, mineral oil free, silicone free, propylene glycol free and ethanolamine free! Another little bonus for me is I also love the fact the company is from Greece (my mums side of the family are Greek) so this brand seems like a win win for me!

After using the product i'll get the negative's out the way first, the one and only downside I have to this product which is really picky, I don't like the fact that when I grab some product with my finger the product can easily be smeared onto the white container and make it look all messy and gross. I know to a lot of people that this stupid little point won't make a difference but it bugs me! Luckily not enough that I wouldn't repurchase it, because I would in other flavours too!

Now to the positives! This product does exactly what I need it to do and what I would expect from a higher end lip butter. It moisturises my lips and not just for the 15 seconds while i'm applying it, you can really feel that it is deeply moisturising and caring for your lips. It melts into my lips and doesn't leave a horrible sticky gloop behind but keeps them soft and moisturised for hours. It leaves a slight shiny redish sheer tint to the lip which is nice for a more natural lip and smells/tastes amazing!

Price is around £7 and can be bought all over the place including Waitrose, Asos and Feel Unique.

http://www.asos.com/Korres/Korres-Lip-Butter/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1660938

Overall I would rate this product 4.5/5, losing 0.5 because of my clean freakiness and the price as I know to some people it might be a little steep but I think totally worth it!

What Korres products do you absolutely love and would recommend?!
